Give the Fingerling…

Fingerlings, from WowWee, hit the market back in 2017 and their popularity hasn’t slowed down since. The robotic toy can dangle off your finger (hence its name) or can be held in your hand. The packaging claims that the toy has 40+ different sounds and reactions, but we had a hard time getting it to do more than five. Burping, singing and blowing kisses are some of the actions each toy can do – and let’s face it, the burping alone will have any toddler giggling with excitement.  Fingerlings are classified as an “interactive pet,” but since most of the characters in the line are animals, it gives kids the sense that they’re taking care of something.

While Fingerlings won’t keep a child occupied for several hours, it’s a novelty item that will bring them joy.

Recommended Ages: 4 and Up

Pros:

• WowWee has dozens of different characters to collect and choose from.
• Interactive movements are entertaining for children.
• Batteries included
• Encourages  children to use their imagination.

Cons:

• The glitter on this Fingerling is clumped together in certain spots.
• Battery life is limited.
• Glitter sticks to your hands.
• Repetition of actions can get boring for a child.
