The 2017 Holiday Barbie from Mattel will always be golden.

For this Holiday Barbie, Mattel brought back providing an additional accessory just for you. The gold star with red detailing behind the Barbie is actually an ornament that can either be placed out on a table or hung on your holiday tree.

The doll’s dress shimmers in the light, but the the material feels very thin and doesn’t have that wow-factor other Holiday Barbie dolls tend to have. Holiday Barbie dolls used to come with a brush, but in recent years, that accessory has been omitted.

Even though the doll’s dress is red, the designer opted to give her gold shoes to match the accents of gold jewelry and threading within the dress.

Each doll in the line (Caucasian, African American, Latina) has specific details that make her a must-have for any collection; from red painted toes and nails, to the intricate details on her earrings, each aspect of the doll was curated with love.
